Ex- Executive Vice President and Chief Information Officer at T-Mobile USA

Brian King is an experienced telecommunications veteran with more than 40 years of knowledge gained across many facets of the ever-evolving industry, including network and retail supply chain systems.

Most recently, Brian served as Executive Vice President and Chief Information Officer at T-Mobile USA. There, Brian was responsible for fostering a product-centric technology organization that leveraged the power of the combination of people process and technology to help fuel the remarkable and rapid growth that T-Mobile has seen.

Before his role as a CIO, Brian served as a Senior Vice President for technology, overseeing the network deployment program office, end-to-end operations management of T-Mobile’s telecommunications network and IT systems, and management of cloud and data centers as well as emergency management response.

Prior to his 25-year tenure at T-Mobile, Brian held leadership roles at Ericsson, 02 and British Telecom.

Brian has also served as the Chair of the FCC’s Communications Security, Reliability, and Interoperability Council (CSRIC).

Bill Marks is currently the CEO of Alaska Power and Telephone Company, a communications and utilities firm operating in Alaska which provides service above the Arctic Circle. Bill is a senior executive in the satellite and cable TV industries for over 25 years, is also an active investor in mobile platform technology and software as a service companies.

He was most recently Chief Strategy Officer at Kymeta, a satellite communications company based in the United States. He also served as the CEO and Chairman of the Board of Maritime Telecommunications Network (MTN), which provides satellite connectivity and content to remote locations around the world.

In 2007, Bill won the prestigious Ernst and Young Entrepreneur of the Year Award for his role there. He has also been involved with DIRECTV by founding a national sales and installation company that helped DIRECTV to become the fastest growing consumer electronic company in the US at that time.

Mr. Doherty is CEO at Altum, a data center design and consulting firm focusing on high density application and diverse fiber applications that facilitate content at the edge. Prior to this he served as Managing Director of Nobis Technology Group, a privately held parent holding company to approximately 12 specialized firms as well as a broad spectrum of websites.

He has also been the President and CEO of Fortress Colocation Centers, playing an instrumental role in the company’s merger with Digital Forest to create high density, carrier-neutral colocation services provider Digital Fortress, Inc.

In February 2012, following the merger, Mr. Doherty served as the organization’s Chief Operating Officer and Co-Founder. Prior to Fortress, Mr. Doherty was COO and Co-Founder of CoreLink Data Centers, President and COO at Mzima, a colocation and optical network provider in North America and Europe, and Vice President at Peer 1 Hosting. He also served as the Managing Director of CRG West, where he oversaw the management of the Carlyle Group’s telecom assets, now known as CoreSite. Mr. Doherty began his career in telecoms as a Sales Director with Metropolitan Fiber Systems.

Sue Spradley

Ms. Spradley is a partner in Tap Growth Group, where she specializes in executive coaching, start-up coaching and business development. She brings more than 25 years of experience in the wireless telecommunications industry, including broad operating experience in sales, product portfolio management, and research and development for multiple global communications-related companies. She also has extensive public company executive leadership experience. She is also certified in Cybersecurity and AI as from NACD and Diligent.

Previously, she was the Chief Executive Officer of Motion Intelligence, a privately held SaaS company focused on the elimination of distracted driving, which was sold successfully to Cambridge Mobile Telematics. Prior to Motion Intelligence, she served in various roles at Viavi Solutions Inc. (formerly JDS Uniphase), most recently as Executive Vice President and General Manager–Network and Service Enablement.

In 2011, Ms Spradley accepted a role as Executive Director for US Ignite, a private/public not for profit established by the White House office of CTO under President Obama.Prior to that, Ms. Spradley was President of the North America region at Nokia Siemens Networks from 2007 to 2011, where she was responsible for regional profit and loss, sales and service where she successfully established Nokia Siemens (now Nokia) footprint in the US and Canadian Market

Ian McKerlich is a result of focused global technology executive with extensive experience in fast-moving industries and leadership roles. A proven team builder and company leader through two private company exits realizing a combined >$500M for shareholders. He is currently Managing Partner at McKerlich & Company, a privately held strategy and business advisory firm. Prior to this he was CEO of Zonar Systems, a leading connected intelligence solution provider for the transportation industry where he helped the company scale and sell to Continental AG. He joined Zonar after a role as Vice President of Product at RootMetrics, the global leader in network performance management and analytics. In that role, he was responsible for strategy and product development. Before RootMetrics, McKerlich was vice president of product management at T-Mobile and was responsible for services and apps. Earlier in his career, McKerlich was a consultant with McKinsey and Company and a general manager at RealNetworks. McKerlich earned an MBA from Harvard a degree in electrical engineering from the University of British Columbia.

Scott’s current focus with Joint Strategic Dynamics is providing strategic and operational business advice as well as executive coaching to executive teams and companies. Scott is also a board member for BOXT Wine.

Prior to this, she has been the chief information and technology officer at TrueBlue, MOD Pizza and Outerwall (the automated retail solutions developer responsible for redbox®, Coinstar® and ecoATM®) and held executive customer success roles at TIBCO Software, Sage Intacct, and Edifecs. She serves on the board of directors for Myndshft and advises a number of early stage technology companies. She earned her B.S. in Industrial Technology-Digital Systems from California State University at Fresno.

Jeff Hansen is one of the first 50 in the world to do wireless email, the first 5 to sell Enterprise VR, and, most recently, some of the most advanced AI-based robotics. His career has spanned nearly every point in the value chain, from OEM to reseller to Solution Integrator to ecommerce pure-play to SaaS.

Jeff’s Metaverse journey began with leading global sales for Lytro, a Lightfield imaging company now owned by Google, then an Enterprise VR startup in 2015/2016. He has over 8 years of experience in building global marketing for Microsoft HoloLens and then global sales for Unity and Magic Leap. Prior to moving into Venture, Jeff led global sales for the most advanced AI-based Robotics company in the world at Sarcos Robotics.

Currently, Jeff is a Venture Partner at Tandem Partners, a VC firm in Utah. He also consults in global expansion and GTM and holds Advisory roles at several start-ups in AR, Generative AI, and Robotics. Jeff is also a start-up advisor at the University of Utah and Tech Stars and is a member of Park City Angels in Utah. Jeff has also led “Dev Rel” for Microsoft, Unity and Magic Leap and understands what it takes to develop apps and content.

Joseph is currently the CEO of CreatorsAGI Inc, an AI startup dedicated to empowering creators with Artificial Generative Interaction capabilities. He has been an AI leader all of his career and served as the Vice President of Alexa Shopping at Amazon.com, the Chief Technology Officer of Compass Inc, and as Microsoft’s Corporate Vice President of AI.

During his tenure at Microsoft, Joseph held product and engineering responsibility for all Azure AI, enterprise database, and big data products. He built Azure ML, the first Machine Learning as a Service platform in the cloud. Prior to Microsoft, Joseph spent nine years as a VP at Amazon where he managed the Global Inventory Platform for Amazon’s Consumer Business, and built the machine learning, data warehouse and Transaction Risk Management teams.

Chris Drews has over 30 years of industry and consulting experience in procurement/sourcing, manufacturing, and supply chain across multiple industries including, High Tech, Retail, Footwear/Apparel, Telco, Financial Services, and Aerospace.

Prior to starting his own consulting practice, Chris was General Manager of Strategic Sourcing at Microsoft, responsible for direct material sourcing for all Microsoft Devices. He also held the position of CPO (Chief Procurement Officer) over all Microsoft indirect spend. In these roles he focused on supply strategies, relationship management, supplier performance, and organizational transformation. Chris held prior leadership positions with Nike, ICG Commerce, and CSC Index Consulting.

Chris received a B.S. degree in Industrial Technology from Iowa State University and a dual MBA/master’s in engineering management degree from the Kellogg School of Management and McCormick School of Engineering at Northwestern University. He lives with his wife in the Greater Seattle Area and has two adult children.

Torben’s 20+ years of business experience ranges from high-growth startups to large household brand names like LEGO, XEROX, and BlueCross BlueShield. He most recently led the expansion of the on-demand, innovative retail & digital healthcare platform ZoomCare, scaling it to be the largest primary and urgent care provider in the Pacific Northwest. His leadership was recognized by the Portland Business Journal as “Executive of the Year” in Oregon/SW Washington in 2021.

Torben co-founded HealthSparq in 2012—the second-fastest-growing digital health company in the U.S. in 2016 and acquired by Kyruus in 2021.

Before entering healthcare, Torben held executive roles leading marketing, product, e-commerce, operations and retail teams at technology and consumer companies and his leadership has been recognized by multiple institutions, including Forrester Research and PwC. Most recently, he was one of 27 expert contributors to Kevin Pereau’s book on digital healthcare in the US “It Takes A Village” from 2021.

Scott founded and led several successful companies, including HealthVision, a pioneer in health information exchange; HealthSparq, a consumer engagement platform; and MDLive, a telehealth provider. He has also held the president role at publicly traded Nextgen Healthcare, a health IT company.

He is an active member of the Partnership for Quality Home Healthcare (PQHH) and the National Association for Home Care & Hospice (NAHC). He is also an active supporter of several charitable causes including Angel Flight & Pilots N Paws.

Scott holds a bachelor’s degree in computer science from Trinity University in San Antonio, Texas. He is a former finalist for DFW Entrepreneur of the Year and a frequent speaker at industry events and conferences. He splits his time between Bend, Oregon and Dallas, Texas, where he lives with his wife and two dogs. He enjoys spending his free time in the Pacific Northwest Mountain biking, golfing, skiing, and flying.
